Cinnamon-Cake

Always deliciouse cinnamon-cake is equally good either for breakfast or after dinner. Not only will this tasty cake make for some happy diners, but it fills your house with a wonderful, down home aroma. With so many different recipes to try it's hard to know where to start. I have included my favorite one, Apple Cinnamon-Cake with Coffee and Pecans. Also a couple of video recipes of a three more great recipes. These are the best I have found. Cinnamon-Cake Coffee Pecan
This is one fantastic cinnamon-cake recipe. Pretty easy to make and simply delicious.
Ingredients
- Cinnamon-Cake
- 1 tsp salt
- ¾ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 cups plain flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup fresh milk
- 1 ½ cups pecans, chopped
- 2 tsp instant espresso coffee, dissolved in 3 tbsp warm water
- Topping:
- ½ cup plain flour
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup pecans, coarsely ground
- Powder sugar for dusting
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 340 degrees F and grease cake pan (22cm).
- Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. The set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add instant coffee and eggs . Beat in the sifted ingredients and milk. Add in the pecans, stir and pour in the pan.
- Cinnamon-Cake Topping:
- Combine cinnamon, flour, rub in butter and your pecans. Mix well, sprinkle liberally over the top. Bake for about 60 minutes. Cool before cutting. Dust with powder sugar.

Buttery Cinnamon-Cake
This Cinnamon-Cake is a real treat - Incredibly moist and delicious - great with coffee
INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup shortening
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/3 cups white sugar
3 eggs
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup white sugar
6 tablespoons butter
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F or (175 degrees C).
- Lightly grease then flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. Stir flour, baking powder, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat shortening, 1 1/3 cups white sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla until light and fluffy.
- One at a time, add eggs , beat for at least 1 minute after each egg, then beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven between 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake .
- Let cool in pan for about 10 minutes, then turn out on a wire rack. Remove the cake from the pan while it is still warm, and gently poke holes around the top of the cake with a fork.
- Pour warm cinnamon syrup into the holes and onto the top and sides of the cake.
- Heat and stir until butter melts.
**To Make Cinnamon Syrup: In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup white sugar, butter, water, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 3/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
